At the EMD 2023 event, SUBMARINER Network will be (co)organising two workshops. One on Maritime Spatial Planning with the project MSP4Bio and one workshop on algae, with EU4Algae stakeholder Forum.

The 1st workshop "Achieving marine biodiversity protection targets in the EU -  improving governance for planning & management" (organised by MSP4BIO &  its sister projects Marine Plan, MPA Europe and European Union's Ocean Governance for MPAs) discusses how to achieve a better integration between marine conservation & marine planning processes. The 2nd (organised by EU4Algae) invites 4 industry algae projects supporting regenerative EU bioeconomy (Realm, Seamark, Circalgae and AlgaeProBanos) and focuses on solutions that can alleviate market access barriers, e.g. within water and energy integration (circular economy) and social license.
