MULTI-FRAME Project Meeting in Sweden Takes Attendees on a Thrilling Journey Through Seaweed Farming and Climate Change Solutions

The Kristineberg Marine Research Station in Sweden hosted the MULTI-FRAME project meeting from 3-5 April 2023, which saw participants gather to discuss the final outputs of the project and explore ways to promote it. The KTH Institute hosted the event, and it proved to be an exciting and informative experience for all attendees.

One of the highlights of the event was a visit to the Nordic Seafarm seaweed farm, located off the coast of Sweden. Participants were given the opportunity to tour the farm and see firsthand how the seaweed is grown, harvested, and processed. The experience was truly eye-opening, and attendees gained a new appreciation for the hard work that goes into producing just a few kilos of dry seaweed.

During the visit, attendees also had the chance to sample some of the fresh seaweed and its various products, including bread and spices made from the seaweed. The flavors were fabulous, and it was clear that a great deal of care and attention went into the production process.

The discussions were productive and informative, and participants left the meeting feeling energized and inspired. Overall, the MULTI-FRAME project meeting at Kristineberg Marine Research Station in Sweden was a resounding success, providing a unique opportunity for participants to learn about the seaweed industry, as well as to share their insights and ideas about the important work being done to protect and preserve our marine ecosystems.
