The first EU Algae Awareness Summit will take place this year in Paris from October 5th - 7th. The aim of the summit is to inspire national authorities and raise public awareness on the wide-ranging benefits of Algae cultivation. Through high-level panel conversations, participatory group discussions, an exhibition area with tasting algae products and a virtual reality experience – event participants will be inspired for change and for increasing their support to the algae sector. The event will kick off on Thursday with an introduction to best practice and a networking dinner. Friday will bring together stakeholders for high-level presentations and breakout workshops. To cap off the event, on Saturday, October 7th, the public will be invited in to join the conversation and experience algae products first hand! The event is organized by the European Commission in conjunction with the French Ministry of Agriculture & Food Sovereignty and the United Nations Global Compact.
